SurfBoard: Surf's NFT That Collects Tokenized Stocks
Hold an annual Surf membership number? Claim your SurfBoard NFT, open it, and let it collect tokenized stocks from every trade on Robinhood Chain.
AnnouncementOct 15, 20267 min read

Welcome to SurfBoard, the Surf NFT collection. Hold $SURFBOARD, open your Surfboard, and let it collect real tokenized stocks for you.
Why we built this
Crypto is good at two things: creating new assets and moving them. That's why more and more of finance is moving onto blockchain rails. We think the end state is crypto as the invisible rail under finance, doing its job where most people never notice it.
Tokenized stocks are one of the clearest early signs. They are real, productive assets, issued and moved onchain using exactly the two things blockchains do best.
We designed this NFT to feel personal to you through its artwork and rarities, and to let you experience the new era of real‑world assets and crypto. Once opened, it collects tokenized stocks from some of the most watched names in today's market.
It doesn't promise what those stocks will be worth. It lets you hold a piece of where finance and technology are going.
This post is the full picture: who gets one, how it works, and the parts we know have been confusing. If something here sounds too neat, good. We'd rather you check it than take our word for it, so every contract you need is at the bottom.
The short version
Key facts.
Item | Detail |
|---|---|
Collection | Surf NFT |
Total supply | 6,666, never inflated |
Team allocation | 0 |
Chain | Robinhood Chain |
Stock rewards | NVDA, SPY, META, GOOGL, SPCX |
Launch | Oct 15, 03:00 UTC |
Claim window | 30 days, closes Nov 13, 2026 |
There is no mint sale and no team allocation.
Nothing about SurfBoard guarantees a return. The stock rewards come from trading activity, so they grow when people trade and slow down when they don't.
Who gets one
If you purchased an annual Surf membership before 9/16/2026, Pro or Max, you can claim one Surfboard. There is no mint price. Your membership doesn't need to be active. Lapsed annual members are in too.
To check, open your subscription management page. If you see an NFT number there, you're eligible.

You get one Surfboard for each annual plan you've held. If you renewed for another year, that's another Surfboard.
Max number holders. Your Max number comes with a Max ticket. Open the Surfboard you claim and you are guaranteed a Max tier or better, as long as it stays whole (more on that below).
Claiming yours
This is a claim, not a mint, and it isn't first come, first served. Every eligible member has a Surfboard reserved, so there's nothing to race for.
It also won't show up in your wallet on its own. You claim it yourself:
- Bind an ETH wallet to your Surf account. There's no snapshot.
- Once the collection launches, claim on the claim page: nft.asksurf.ai
- Claim within the 30 day window, which closes on November 13, 2026.
The fine print. The Surfboards waiting to be claimed sit in the airdrop claim contract, so on the block explorer it shows up as the largest holder. That's members' NFTs waiting for their owners, not a team wallet.
One asset in two forms
SurfBoard is an ERC‑404 token, which means the token and the NFT are the same asset. Every whole 1.0 $SURFBOARD you hold is one sealed Surfboard in your wallet. Drop below 1.0 and the NFT dissolves back into tokens.
That's why the Surfboard you claim is already 1.0 $SURFBOARD. You don't need to buy anything extra to open it, beyond about $0.10 in gas. And anyone without a claim can buy 1.0 $SURFBOARD on nft.asksurf.ai and hold a sealed Surfboard of their own.
The fine print for Max holders. If your Max ticket dissolves into tokens, it goes into the shared draw that buyers open from, and it stops being yours. The Max guarantee doesn't come back with it.
Sealed, Opened, Redeemed
Every Surfboard is in one of three states.
State | What it is | Trades on | Earns |
|---|---|---|---|
Sealed | 1.0 $SURFBOARD in NFT form, tier not drawn yet | nft.asksurf.ai as tokens, or NFT marketplaces | No |
Opened | A permanent NFT with its tier and art revealed | OpenSea and Surf's desk | Yes |
Redeemed | Burned, rewards paid out | Gone | No |
So yes, a sealed Surfboard can be sold. You can't go backwards, though. Once a Surfboard is opened, it never turns back into $SURFBOARD.
Opening your Surfboard
Opening takes one signature and costs about $0.10 in gas. It burns the $SURFBOARD, and a few seconds later your tier and art are drawn using drand, a public randomness beacon.
Opening is irreversible. Your Surfboard starts collecting from the next reward batch after it opens.
Tiers across all 6,666.
Tier | Count | Reward weight |
|---|---|---|
Pro-1 | 3,500 | 1.0 |
Pro-2 | 1,800 | 1.5 |
Pro-3 | 860 | 2.5 |
Max | 500 | 5.0 |
Ultra | 6 | 10.0 |
Your NFT number's value and when you joined don't change your tier. What matters is your ticket class: Max number holders get Max tickets, and everyone else draws from Normal tickets.

- Max tickets. 400 of them, drawing from 396 Max and 4 Ultra. A Max ticket can't open below Max.
- Normal (Pro) tickets. The other 6,266, drawing from 3,500 Pro-1, 1,800 Pro-2, 860 Pro-3, 104 Max and 2 Ultra. At the start that's roughly 55.9%, 28.7%, 13.7%, 1.7% and 0.03%.
Draws are made without replacement, so the odds shift with every reveal. The remaining counts are public on-chain, so you can check them before you open.
Every sealed Surfboard shows the same artwork. Once opened, it reveals its tier and its own art, one of 130,000 possible patterns.
Where the stock rewards come from
The stock rewards come from trading SurfBoard itself, not from dividends or from Surf's pocket.
Two things feed the reward pool:
- Trading fees. Every swap of $SURFBOARD in the official pool carries a flat 3% fee, taken by the pool's hook. The 3% splits as 2.2125% to stock rewards, 0.6375% to liquidity that is locked forever, and 0.15% to Surf's treasury.
- Royalties. Every time an Opened Surfboard sells, a 5% royalty applies, and all of it goes to stock rewards. It's enforced at the contract level, so a marketplace that skips royalties can't move an Opened Surfboard.

The fees are converted in batches into tokenized stocks, split equally across five: NVDA, SPY, META, GOOGL and SPCX. Holders don't choose the stock.
The stocks are credited to each Opened Surfboard by its tier weight. Sealed Surfboards receive nothing. Rewards already credited to a Surfboard travel with it when it's sold.
The fine print. There's no set yield. How much each Surfboard collects depends on how much people trade and how many Surfboards are opened.
Cashing out
There are no partial claims. A Surfboard's rewards leave in one of two ways:
- Sell it. List your Opened Surfboard on OpenSea. The buyer inherits the rewards it has collected, and the Surfboard lives on. Surf's desk shows OpenSea listings with each Surfboard's collected rewards next to the price.
- Redeem it. The Surfboard is burned. You receive 95% of its rewards, and the other 5% is split by tier weight across every Surfboard still Opened.

The 5% comes out of your own Surfboard's rewards, not out of the whole pool. Redeeming also removes your Surfboard's weight, so everyone still holding gets a slightly bigger share from then on.
A public feed shows every open and every redeem.

Stay safe.
- Buy and sell $SURFBOARD only on nft.asksurf.ai. Individual Surfboards also trade on OpenSea.
- The official pool can't be traded from the Uniswap app, by design. If the Uniswap app or any other DEX shows a SURFBOARD price, it comes from an unofficial pool. Don't trade or add liquidity there: unofficial pools can be blacklisted, and anything inside can get stuck.
- Don't add your own liquidity to the official pool. Outside positions earn no fees and can get locked.
