TL;DR:

  • Round came from builders like 0G and Messari rather than traditional VCs
  • Targeting trading bots, automation tools, and wealth management agents
  • Current metrics: 20M users, 250k daily actives, 60M tasks run, $100M volume, ~$2.5M ARR
  • 0G provides orchestration infrastructure; Messari offers data tooling
  • Company says it's sticking with ecosystem partnerships over VC-led rounds

Warden Protocol, which builds infrastructure for AI agents, closed a $4 million round at a $200 million valuation. The investors are infrastructure partners—0G, Messari, and Venice AI—rather than traditional venture funds.

The money goes toward product development and expanding what Warden's agents can do in trading, automation, and wealth management. CEO Josh Goodbody framed it as opportunistic rather than planned: "We didn't set out to raise capital for its own sake. These are people and teams we already work with—builders who understand the problems we're tackling."

The numbers suggest real usage: roughly 20 million total users, 250,000 daily actives, over 60 million agent tasks completed, and more than $100 million in trading volume. Revenue sits around $2.5 million annualized.

0G CEO Michael Heinrich said Warden fills a gap: "Warden is building the consumer and distribution layer the agent economy has been missing. By building on 0G, Warden gains a scalable orchestration and data layer purpose-built for agents." Messari CTO Diran Li mentioned they've been working together since Messari launched its AI Toolkit.

Warden emphasized this isn't a pivot toward traditional VC funding. They're keeping the focus on product quality and open participation in their network.
